A Card From The Queen

12th October 2016 was a very significant day for Annie Booth and her family. This is the day when Annie should have celebrated her 100th birthday but she passed away peacefully on October 5th.

With the blessing of her daughter, Wendy, we arranged Annie’s funeral service on what would have been her 100th birthday and the service was a true celebration of her long and happy life. Four birthday cards adorned Annie’s Coffin, including one from Her Majesty the Queen.

It was a real privilege to look after Annie and her family and our sincere Condolences go to Wendy, and all of Annie’s lovely family and good friends.

The Halifax Choral Society

On 26 September, it was our privilege to look after the funeral of Alan Lomax, a successful businessman who had sponsored The Halifax Choral Society for many years. They are the world’s oldest choral Society and they will celebrate their 200th birthday in 2017
Alan’s wife, Pauline, and his family were quite overwhelmed when more than thirty members of the choir attended Alan’s service at Huddersfield Crematorium to sing ‘How Great Thou Art’ as a tribute to him. They also joined the Congregation in singing “Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace’ which was truly touching.

Our sincere condolences go to Pauline and Alan’s lovely family.
