Funeral packages

Following the Competition and Market Authority’s (CMA) market investigation into the funeral sector it is compulsory that every funeral director has a Standard Price List. The price list should be available on their website, in the window of their branch, and available to be taken away for reflection.

Unattended funeral (Direct Cremation)
The unattended funeral service allows you to have an alternative way to say goodbye without having a traditional funeral service.

Included with this service

  • Taking care of all necessary legal and administrative arrangements.
  • Deighan’s choice of date and time for the funeral service. You will be informed of these details.
  • Collection of the deceased person in working hours.
  • Care of the deceased until the funeral takes place.
  • Traditional coffin.
  • Hearsette.
  • Liaison with third party services (Cemeteries/ Crematoria/ medics).
  • An online tribute and donation page
  • The ashes will be returned in a biodegradable box from the crematorium. For family to collect.

    • Cremation fee for Overdale Crematorium (£450)
    • Doctors certificate for Cremation (£82)
    Total Cost £1392.00

    Not included with this service 

    • Celebrant as there is no ceremony. (A small service with a celebrant in our chapel, maximum of 6 people £150)
    • Presentation and dressing of the deceased person in their own clothes with visits in the chapel (£175) a gown can be supplied for (£40)
    • Visit to the chapel of rest (Closed Coffin) (This can be added as an option £100)
    • Other services available on request

  • The ashes will be returned in a scatter tube, for family to collect. (Optional designs subject to availability)
